Capital of the Campania
region and a major centre of art and history.
Up until 1860 it was the capital of the Kingdom “of the two
Sicily” having played an important role in the centuries previous.
The number of places of interest is such that only a lengthy stay
would suffice, therefore at least a full-day excursion is recommended.
The
drive to Naples is circa 1 hr., along the Amalfi Drive. Perhaps
including another location like Pompei, or Herculaneum, or Vesuvius,
or Sorrento, time permitting, for a full-day tour. |
